Exploring influence between employee motivation and service quality in the South African Police Service

The South African Police Service (SAPS) Training College, Paarl is facing challenges to reward, motivate and ensure service delivery at the Academy. In any organisation, employees are working provide both internal external clients for this it important take care of because they interacting with these clients. Thus, a cardinal question how can organisations retain in order offer quality their clients? aim study was determine influence between rewards, motivation SAPS Paarl. Semi-structured interviews 10 managers supervisors utilizing purposive sampling were conducted. findings revealed that participants motivated by only intrinsic as morale slow due lack extrinsic factors particular emphasis on pay or remuneration. Lack recognition perceived favouritism where rewards not linked performance identified be best de-motivating factor academic services has significant effect consumer behavior customers, students.
